War of the Roses to receive regular, possibly monthly content updates

War of the Roses will receive regular, post launch content updates according to developer FatShark, and the firm hopes to provide said updates on a monthly basis.

Speaking with Joystiq, War of the Roses producer Gordon Van Dyke said additions will include new armor, weapons, and new maps with weather effects along with expected tweaks based on community feedback.

"We want to support the hell out of this game after release and for a long time afterward," said Van Dyke. "One way we plan on doing this is by releasing regular content updates, our ambition right now is to do them monthly."

Van Dyke said the studio was also considering adding an objective siege mode which would allow teams to storm another's castle.

War of the Roses is currently in beta, and the multiplayer melee combat game is slated for an October 2 on Steam.
