Wanna go fast? Use this nifty trick in No Man's Sky called the Jetpack Dash

Wanna go about your way faster than walking? Of course you do, because walking's too much work in real-life and just as dull in video games.

Unless you like taking your time, which is fine too. Everyone has preferences. But, if you want to explore planets in No Man's Sky faster without flying around in your ship, Arekzz has a great tip for you.

This is done by using what's called the Jetpack Dash. Run forward by pressing your melee button, which is R1 on the DualShock 4 controller, and give yourself a boost at the same time by pressing X.

Basically, what you're doing is using melee to push forward and by using boost to push straight up, you are able to carry the momentum and zip across the environment. It works similar to how you'd bunny hop in Titanfall.

This is especially useful when you need to explore, farm materials or run away from Sentinels.

You can get an idea of how this works and see it in action above.

No Man's Sky is out now on PlayStation 4 and hits PC this Friday, August 12.
