“Vomit roping” is a new technique in Red Dead Redemption 2 for preventing fall damage by puking

Vomit-Man, Vomit-Man, does whatever vomit can. Can he puke from a ledge? Yes he can, from the edge. Look out, here comes the Vomit-Man.

Red Dead Redemption 2 players have found a way to avoid that most common of deaths in Rockstar’s open-world Western: falling from a cliff and breaking every bone in your poor body. The trick is to puke. A lot.

Eating certain plants in Red Dead Redemption 2 causes your avatar to sick their guts up. Take the bullrush, stuff it into your mouth, and this reaction is what happens once you start breaking it up in your gob:

And this is why you vomit when you eat Bullrush. from r/RedDeadOnline

I’d puke. You’d puke. We’d all puke. So it’s only right that you vomit in-game. There are other plants that have the same effect, but this one is by far the most visually horrific.

If you stand near a ledge, keeping the fall on your left side, eat something that will make you vom, then fall just as the animation begins, you will vomit rope. The puking animation cancels any fall damage you might take and you leave a trail of sick behind you as you fall, like a disgusting Spider-Man.

Here’s a look at it in action:

There’s also a hilarious new bug in Red Dead Online that makes female horses grow balls.
