Vita firmware 1.80 allows touch controls on PSP games - report

This week's Vita system software update packs in a few unadvertised features as well as the much-advertised partial support for PSONe Classics. According to PSN Stores, the new firmware allows you to assign custom touchscreen controls to PSP games, and even to map the L and R triggers onto the right thumb stick - something of a boon in third-person games like Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker. The firmware is available now from the US PlayStation network and arrives in Europe with this week's network update.
