Over 100 titles are now available online through the Nintendo webstore

In October, Nintendo started offering the option to buy and pre-purchase first-party developed Wii U and 3DS games from it's webstore in North America. Now it appears the company has expanded the initiative to third-party and Virtual Console titles.

As reported by GoNintento, there are now over 100 titles available to purchase through the store, including Virtual Console games.

Nintendo Life noted titles such as NES Remix 2, EarthBound, Kirby Fighters Deluxe and Mega Man Xtreme 2 were now available, all of which were at least published or licensed by Nintendo.

It's unclear whether Nintendo will offer third-party published titles in the future. Baby steps.

Users will need a Nintendo Network ID in order for the games to automatically download to their Wii U or 3DS, but those without a NNID will receive a code via email when they purchase a game.
