Valve's free VR tool Destinations lets anyone make and share worlds

Valve has released a new, free VR creation tool called Destinations through Early Access.

Polygon reports users will be able to build locations using photogrammetry, so as long as you have a camera and a bit of patience you don't need to be an art whizz.

Creators can add various interactive elements to their worlds, and the software draws on the same Source 2 tools that Valve itself uses. There's an extensive Wiki knowledge base to help you come to grips with Destinations, but if you're only interested in exploring worlds rather than building them, there's a dedicated Steam Workshop where you'll hopefully soon find plenty of projects.

To get started, visit Steam. You'll need a VR headset and either a motion controller or a control pad with OpenVR, but if your system can run The Lab it can handle Destinations.
