Vader Immortal: A Star Wars VR Series trailer shows off the episodic title coming to Oculus

The first trailer for Vader Immortal: A Star Wars VR Series has been released.

Vader Immortal: A Star Wars VR Series is a three-part cinematic virtual reality game in the works at ILMxLAB, Lucasfilm’s immersive entertainment division.

Vader Immortal was announced last year at Oculus Connect 5 with a teaser video. The VR title was written and produced by David S. Goyer (The Dark Knight), and features a canonical set between the events of Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope.

More information on the immersive VR title was revealed at Star Wars celebration yesterday. In it, you will play as the captain of a smuggling ship captured by Lord Vader.

You and your droid companion Zoey are then taken to Fortress Vader. This is the man himself's stronghold and former Sith temple located on the volcanic world of Mustafar.

Here, you will be able to explore the castle looking for an escape, and even fight Darth Vader using a lightsaber.

Episode 1 of Vader Immortal will be released this spring for Oculus Quest and Oculus Rift.
