USgamer Stream: Dead Cells [Done!]

Let us wash away the taste of last's week failure with... more failure.

This article first appeared on USgamer, a partner publication of VG247. Some content, such as this article, has been migrated to VG247 for posterity after USgamer's closure - but it has not been edited or further vetted by the VG247 team.

Welcome to USgamer Stream, where I or someone on the team plays a brand-new game for your enjoyment and edification. Last week, I struggled to survive in La-Mulana 2, my first foray into the series at all. It was our darkest moment.

This week, I'll be playing Dead Cells, another roguelike title, thought this one is focus more on combat than fiendish traps and difficult bosses. We're going to die today, but let's see how far we can go. I reviewed the game on Nintendo Switch, so today I'll be loading up a fresh start on the Steam version.

M.H. Williams is new to the journalism game, but he's been a gamer since the NES first graced American shores. Third-person action-adventure games are his personal poison: Uncharted, Infamous, and Assassin's Creed just to name a few. If you see him around a convention, he's not hard to spot: Black guy, glasses, and a tie.
