USgamer PSA: We're Off For Thanksgiving

Why are all these old articles popping up?

This article first appeared on USgamer, a partner publication of VG247. Some content, such as this article, has been migrated to VG247 for posterity after USgamer's closure - but it has not been edited or further vetted by the VG247 team.

You may be confused. "I remember Jeremy's Final Fantasy interview from a long time ago!" "I read Bob's Dragula Singularity piece before!" Before you get angry, harumph around your home or workplace a few times, and sip a whiskey to calm down, let me help you.

We're off today, Thursday, and Friday. It's Thanksgiving, so we're spending it with our families after the heavy review season.

During this time, we'll be re-posting some of the articles we've done over 2014 that we felt were our best. You've already seen a few of those today:

  • This is USgamer: Welcome to Earth! - This is essentially the USgamer FAQ, giving new readers a feel of our site. If you want to convert your friends over to the awesome side, start here.
  • Where Final Fantasy Went Wrong, and How Square Enix is Putting It Right - Jeremy's first pick includes one of his favorite interviews so far, with Square Enix' Yoshinori Kitase.
  • The Dragula Singularity: How One Song Conquered Late '90s Gaming - For the most part, we write about what we want to here at USgamer and that's very apparent in Bob's look at how a Rob Zombie song influenced 90's game development.
  • System Swan Songs: The Last Games Released on the Greatest Consoles - Jaz chose this in-depth look at the final games on classic consoles.

There's more coming, even the occasional new article! We hope you enjoy the articles if you haven't seen them before. If you have seen them before, please share away.

As always, we're thankful that you folks take time out of your busy days to come and read USgamer. You could be doing something else, so your continued patronage is valuable.

Reviews Editor, USgamer

M.H. Williams is new to the journalism game, but he's been a gamer since the NES first graced American shores. Third-person action-adventure games are his personal poison: Uncharted, Infamous, and Assassin's Creed just to name a few. If you see him around a convention, he's not hard to spot: Black guy, glasses, and a tie.
