US PS Store Update, October 16 - Halowe'en sale, DLCsplosion, DOOM 3 BFG

This week's update to the North American PlayStation Store brings a number of new games, loads of high-profile DLC, and some tasty spooky savings.

The PlayStation 3 scores four new full games, and although Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy have their place I'm pretty sure 007 Legends and DOOM 3 BFG Edition will prove more popular this week. Two PSN games debut as well - Of Orcs and Men and the Arkedo Series.

The Vita is now home to a PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale beta, as well as Silent Hill: Book of Memores and Dokuro. There's one new Minis (Breakquest: Extra Evolution) one PS2 Classic (The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe) and one new PSOne Classic (Front Missions 3), too. The House of the Dead Overkill is now a bit thriftier thanks to a bundle.

Plus members receive PayDay: The Heist in their Insteant Game Collection, access to the PlayStation 3 beta for Battle Royale, early access to The Unfinished Swan, and a pile of discounts.

On the sale side, the Guitar and DJ Hero titles are having a minor DLC discount spree, while a huge Halowe'en sale offers discounts on a range of horror themed titles.

Now to DLC: a pile of new releases for New Little King's Story join Pure Chess and Zen Pinball 2 on Vita. For PS3, there's new content for Darksiders 2, Borderlands 2, Dead or Alive 5, Mass Effect 3, Mugen Souls, Sleeping Dogs and Lights Camera Party. Plus, the Medal of Honor: Warfighter online pass is now available, and DUST 514 currency is up for grabs.

In the musical sphere, Rock Band 3 has a couple of new tracks while Rocksmith has a huge pile and a number of paid unlocks for the impatient, too.
