US PS Store update, August 20 - GTA 5 pre-order, Walking Dead Vita, Splinter Cell

Gamescom heralds the end of summer and the slow ramp up towards the holiday season release blitz, and Sony has kicked things off in style with a jam-packed PlayStation Store update.

Grand Theft Auto 5, Battlefield 4 and Castle of Illusion starring Mickey Mouse are now available for pre-order, as is Battlefield 4 Premium, a subscription add-on for DICE's shooter.

There are four new PS3 Full Game releases - Saints Row 4; The Bureau: XCOM Declassified; Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Blacklist; and Air Conflict: Pacific Carriers, winner of this week's "also ran" award.

On the PSN, check out Divekick, a fighting game stripped down to its bare essentials with just one move, turning it into less a versus battler so much as all-out psychological warfare, and Ms. Germinator, which is about domestic cleaning, apparently.

Both PSN titles are available on Vita, as is the first season of The Walking Dead.

There are two PS2 Classics, too - Kessen 3, another of Tecmo Koei's classic strategy games, and Naval Ops Commander.

Finally, there's one bundle - the Dragon's Lair Trilogy.

PlayStation Plus subscribers will enjoy a free copy of Zen Pinball 2: Star Wars for PS3 and Vita, as well as Darkstalkers Chronicle: The Chaos Tower for PSP and PS Vita, for their instant collections. They also have access to a timed trial of payday 2 and beta access to Vita shooter Killzone: mercenary.

Demo wise, NHL 14 and Rayman Legends have arrived.

In the magical land of DLC, check out new add-ons for Call of Duty: Black Ops, Defiance, God of War: Ascension, Hyperdimension Neptunia: Victory, LittleBigPlanet, LittleBigPlanet 2, LittleBigPlanet Karting, Saints Row 4, Soul Sacrifice, Tales of Xillia, Time and Eternity and Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Blacklist.
