Unreal Engine 4 now supports SteamOS, Linux, PS4, Xbox One

Unreal Engine 4 update 4.1 now includes SteamOS and Linux support, a refined iOS and Android workflow, and new game templates both for C++ programmers and Blueprint visual scripting, Epic Games has announced.

The update comes with over 100 improvements based on community feedback, and as previously announced, Epic’s Elemental demo still available free to subscribers.

The engine also includes “Shooter Game,” a sample project created by Epic and is now undergoing certification on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
