United Front Games sees layoffs following True Crime cancellation

United Front Games has confirmed it has laid off some of its staff.

It comes a while after Activision confirmed it had canned True Crime: Hong Kong, which was in development at the Vancouver-based studio.

"Due to the fact that True Crime is no longer in production, a number of roles have been made redundant which unfortunately, has led to a reduction in staff," a rep told Joystiq.

"UFG is still very much open for business and we will continue to ship top games."

The studio is also behind the release of PS3 title ModNation Racers.
