Uncharted celebrates its tenth birthday with free PS4 themes, Uncharted 4 discounts, and an upcoming panel
The Uncharted series is ten years old this week, and fans can celebrate with a new theme, new free avatars, and a few other celebratory bonuses and discounts.
November 19 - last Sunday - was the 10th anniversary of Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, the first game in the now six-strong Uncharted series. A date like that can't pass without some form of celebration, and Sony has done so with a whole bunch of free themes and avatars for your PS4.
The Uncharted 10th Anniversary Bundle, which is free and only available for 48 hours, contains the following items:
- UNCHARTED 10th Anniversary Theme
- UNCHARTED 10th Anniversary Avatar
- UNCHARTED: Drake’s Fortune Remastered Dynamic Theme
- UNCHARTED 2: Among Thieves Remastered Dynamic Theme
- UNCHARTED 4: A Thief's End™ Fire Dynamic Theme
- UNCHARTED 4: A Thief's End™ Shipwreck Theme
- UNCHARTED 4: A Thief's End™ Ink Dynamic Theme
- UNCHARTED 4: A Thief's End Avatar Pack 1
Not bad, right? If you're still playing the multiplayer modes in Uncharted 4, there are some further bonuses available. Right now you can get some of the game's purchasable skins for free, and items that you'd buy with Uncharted Points and Relics are 50% off until December 19.
According to PlayStation Blog, there will be further events relating to Uncharted at PlayStation Experience. Don't hold your breath for another game in the series just yet, but there will be a "special retrospective panel featuring members of the cast of Uncharted and a show floor puzzle room experience set in a life-sized recreation of Nate’s Attic". Hopefully the retrospective panel will pop up online somewhere afterwards.
