UK students break games jam world record

A group of 329 UK students broke the world record for largest game jam, overcoming the previous record by 29 people.

The event, which was sponsored by Microsoft and Train2Game, tasked developers to create games for Windows 8 within 48 hours. After all of the hard work, 41 products were finished before the deadline. If Microsoft deem these suitable, expect to see them popping up on the Windows Store soon.

Thanks, Joystiq.
