UFC Undisputed 4 was in development prior to license sale

THQ has confirmed it had a fourth UFC Undisputed game in the works before abruptly selling off the license.

According to THQ's most recent 10-K filing, the series saw a year-on-year decrease in sales since its debut in 2009.

The publisher noted that the mass lay-off its San Diego development team could result in severance pay-outs of up to $1.1 million, facility lease costs of $1.3 million and $500,000 in costs "related to long-lived assets."

The IFC license sold to EA Sports fo an undisclosed amount.

THQ confirmed last week that UFC Undisputed 3 did not break even.
