Ubisoft changes Driver: San Francisco's DRM policy

The voice of the internet, it can change things for the better, sometimes.

Following the widespread fan outrage regarding Ubisoft's "always-on" DRM policy for Driver: San Francisco, the publisher has decided to change it.

According to a RPS report, players will no longer require always-on internet to enjoy the title, however they'll still need to log in everytime they decide to start the game.

"We've heard your feedback regarding the permanent internet connection requirement for Driver and have made the decision to no longer include it, said an Ubisoft representative. "So this means that Driver PC gamers will only need to sign in at game launch, but can subsequently choose to play the game offline."

Driver: San Francisco is in development for Xbox 360, PS3, and PC and will be releasing on September 27.
