Ubisoft announces Rocksmith, will support real guitars

Having not heard of the death of Guitar Hero - or pretty much, the music genre - Ubisoft's announced Rocksmith, a brand new music game coming to PS3 and 360

The game will come with a input jack that would enable you to plug in a real guitar to a console, although Ubisoft is apparently negating with "the likes of Gibson and others" to sell a $200 bundle that will feature the game and a real guitar, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Artists confirmed so far including the Rolling Stones, David Bowie, Nirvana and the Animals, with songs that have never appeared on Guitar Hero or Rock Band also due to make an appearance on Rocksmith.

Ubisoft's promised to "create a new generation of guitar players" with the game.

It's out this September.
