Ubi to open new campus in Morocco

Ubisoft's planning on opening a new development campus in Morocco this October, according to this GameDaily report, an outfit to be modelled on the success of the company's Montreal studio.

The publisher intends to create 150 new jobs at the facility between now and 2010, with the aid of a Moroccan government program.

"The establishment of such a Campus represents an important, motivating project for Morocco," stated Cyril Vermeil, managing director of Ubisoft Casablanca. "The Ubisoft Campus intends to attract, train and retain the best video game and animated film creators throughout the country, for a high-growth industry where Moroccans have an important role to play. The Campus's establishment concretely demonstrates Ubisoft's commitment to training the talents of tomorrow, wherever they might be."
