Turn 10 looking into reports of Forza 4 players being unjustly banned

Forza 4 developer Turn 10 is looking into complaints issued by players who claim that they have been unjustly banned from Xbox Live due to playing Forza 4.

A number of Forza 4 players have posted on the game's official forum, complaining that they have been banned from playing the game without valid reasons.

Although Turn 10 hasn't disclosed why the players have been banned, fans speculate Microsoft might be banning users whom it suspects of paying real world money for in-game credits, which can be used to buy cars from the auction house in the game.

Turn 10 community manager Brian Ekberg has stepped up and issued a statement confirming that the studio is currently looking into the matter.

"We are investigating claims from a select group of Forza 4 players who believe they have been unfairly banned from Xbox Live," he wrote on the Forza 4 forum.

"We take piracy issues very seriously and will be investigating this matter case by case. If we find accounts that have been banned in error, we will reinstate them."

Forza 4 is now available exclusively for Xbox 360.
