The mode along with the single-player campaign for Gears of War 4 will be playable at the show.

Horde Mode 3.0 sees the return of five player co-op, as players battle 50 waves of Swarm and DeeBees, with boss challenges coming every ten waves.

The mode will also contain a new class-based system which allows the player to choose between one of five roles: engineer, heavy, scout, sniper and soldier.

At EGX players will be able to demo 1-10 waves of enemies, each one increasing in difficulty. You can get an idea of what to expect through a video of Horde Mode 3.0 which released out of PAX West and another released by Microsoft earlier this month.

Horde Mode will also work on any multiplayer map in the game.

If you want to learn more about the updated fan-favorite mode, give Alex's interview a read. It tells you everything you need to know about it.

EGX 2016 takes place September 22-25 at The NEC, Birmingham.

Gears of War 4 launches October 11 for Xbox One and Windows 10 PC as a Play Anywhere title.
