Toon Link blows into Super Smash Bros.

The newest fighter for Super Smash Bros. has been revealed, and it's Toon Link! Everyone's initially-widely-hated-but-now-hugely-loved cel-shaded iteration of the legendary hero. Nintendo announced the news via Twitter and the game's official site.

Toon Link's inclusion probably won't come as a huge surprise. The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD is coming out on Wii U next week. But he'll make a welcome addition to the roster, presumably taking the place of Young Link from previous Smash Bros. games. How his move set will differ from 'traditional' Link remains to be seen. The image on the official site shows him with wind-commanding baton in hand, so it'll be interesting to see how that feeds into the gameplay.
