Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition will not come as a PC upgrade

Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition brings a wealth of previously PC-only features and tech to PS4 and Xbox One, but it looks like PC owners won't be getting the extra bells and whistles that come with it.

Some players had hoped that Crystal Dynamics would offer existing owners of the PC version a free upgrade to the Definitive Edition, but as it happens they won't be getting the new lick of paint being offered to PS4 and Xbox One owners.

It was confirmed in a Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition FAQ, which stressed the game, "was designed and rebuilt from the ground up for next-generation consoles," and added, "At this time a PC update is not planned.”

The game will hit PS4 and Xbox One on January 28 but stay tuned for my interview with Crystal Dynamics about what, exactly, is new about it.
