Thief designer Doug Church joins Valve

Lauded designer Doug Church, formerly of Looking Glass, Eidos, and EA, has been scooped up by Valve.

Gamasutra reports Church joined the Half-life developer a few weeks ago, although his specific role or project has not been revealed.

Church's pre-EA credits include Ultima Underworld, System Shock, Thief, and Tomb Raider Underworld.

He served as executive producer at EA Los Angeles on the cancelled collaboration with Steven Spielberg, Project LMNO.
