Theatrhythm Final Fantasy: Curtain Call videos show sequel's new features

Theatrhythm Final Fantasy: Curtain Call may be the last in the series, but it isn't just the same thing with more characters - Square Enix has evolved the formula in a couple of way.

According to Siliconera, the two videos below show off the Versus and Quest Medley modes.

The Versus video shows the Final Fantasy 7: Advent Children version of Jenova’s theme. Versus mode supports local and online 1v1 play, with success based on score rather than survival. A single-player version of this mode offers AI opponents.

Quest Medley combines various maps and songs into new experiences outside the core storyline. You can choose short, medium and long quests, and once completed can exchange them via StreetPass.

Theatrhythm Final Fantasy: Curtain Call is the second and apparently last game in the unusual rhythm action series, and arrives on 3DS in Japan in April. Western release has not been confirmed.
