The World Ends with You: Final Remix release date set for October

The World Ends with You: Final Remix will land on Switch in October.

Originally a Nintendo DS game, The World Ends with You: Final Remix was announced for Nintendo Switch in January. The game is an updated version of the handheld release with HD visuals.

Along with spiffy visuals, it contains a new epilogue shedding light on the game’s story, which stars the character Neku Sakuraba. He along with others have been brought back to life to participate in a game featuring rhythmic battles.

These battles can be fought using either the Switch touch screen or Joy Con controller.

Winners are given a choice: be brought back to life or to transcend to a higher spiritual form. There's more to the story obviously, but we don't wish to spoil it for you.

The World Ends with You: Final Remix releases October 12. It will run you $49.99 or the regional equivalent.

The original title was released in spring 2008 for Nintendo DS. An iOS version was released in 2012 with a new soundtrack.
