Platinum Games really wants to bring The Wonderful 101 to Switch

Platinum Games wants to bring Wii U exclusive The Wonderful 101 to Nintendo Switch.

During a talk at Reboot Develop this week, The Wonderful 101 director Hideki Kamiya and Platinum Games' Atsushi Inaba said the studio is negotiating with Nintendo for a possible Switch release.

While the studio admitted the Wii U title "didn’t sell a ton," it was a hit with those who played it. One could argue the reason sales were lacking for this under-appreciated title was due to its platform exclusivity.

In January of last year,  Platinum Games teased the possibility of The Wonderful 101 for Switch with a tweeted image.  The image showed models of the game characters playing it on a television.

Hopefully the game will indeed come to Switch at some point in the future. Until then, there's always Bayonetta 3 to look forward to along with the studio's mobile title World of Demons.

Thanks, Nintendo Life.
