The Witcher 3 gets new 2GB PC patch that fixes nothing

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has received a large new update on PC that can't technically be called a patch.

CD Projekt RED released a new 2.2GB patch to The Witcher 3 on PC. The patch did not bring any new game content or fix any bugs though.

According to a developer post on Steam, the patch updates the game's artpack, which includes the artbook, soundtrack, map, manual, and wallpapers.

One Reddit user said the update adds more languages to the game's artpack, and can be safely removed.

As you'd hope, these can be totally removed from your game to save space, but you'll still need to download the patch all the same. If you do choose to remove these files, know that verifying the game cache will re-download them.

Meanwhile, we're still waiting to hear the release date and full changelog for the upcoming 1.7 patch.
