A social game based The Walking Dead is in the works from Eyes Wide Games and is set for release in April.

The Walking Dead Social Game is being published by Facebook staple RockYou, and the firm is aiming the title at "mid-to-hardcore gamers."

“AMC's The Walking Dead Social Game is a next generation game for social networks.” said Stephen Griffin, CEO of Eyes Wide Games,. "It's got deep playability. It's got drama, and it's still approachable for the casual audience. However, if you're a gamer and you've been looking for a deeper game to play and to experience on social networks then this is it.”

Players will be able to battle zombies with "win or lose" consequences on flexible social platform. Scavenging resources, establishing camps, and scrounging for resources are other elements to the and locations in it will be based on those seen in the AMC television show.
