This very legit-looking Cuphead port on iTunes is actually completely fake [Update]

There's a totally fake, but very convincing, port of Cuphead available for sale on iTunes.

The game, simply called Cuphead, has screenshots that look identical to the real deal, with some modifications such as new icons for touch controls.

Cuphead's distinct art style is hard to replicate, but it seems developers of the fake game went to great lengths to ensure it passes as an official Cuphead port. Among other things, the imposters also used Studio MDHR's name to make it look as legit as possible.

It's pretty wild, as you don't typically see this much dedication from developers of imposter titles on the app store. The game is being sold for £5, which is another thing that made the listing look legit, since fake games are typically free.

Studio MDHR, developer of Cuphead, was alerted to the game earlier today, and the team is in the process of getting removed. Until then, you can see it for yourself on iTunes.

Update: The game was taken down.
