The Stanley Parable has sold 1 million copies
Award-winning indie The Stanley Parable has sold through 1 million copies.
The Stanley Parable released in 2011 as a mod, but was remade professionally to release in late 2013. Just one year on, this version has hit an enviable milestone.
The news came via creator Davey Wreden, who seems understandably chuffed:
A few years ago no one had any idea who I was. Today the stanley parable has sold a million copies. Thank you. <3

Narrator Kevan Brighting also celebrated:
The Stanley Parable has sold over a million copies. The Narrator decided not to tell Stanley. It might make him fractious. Or big-headed.

The Narrator relented. He sent Stanley a congratulations card and a check for $8. There was no way he would send $427. There are limits.

The genuinely funny walking simulator was on sale recently to celebrate its first birthday, which may have helped push it over the million sales mark.
The Stanley Parable is really wonderful. You can, and should, grab it on Steam for Mac and PC.
