The Secret World details Templar HQ, recruitment, and more

The Secret World's Templar week continues with some new artworks and an introduction to the faction's history, goals, and headquarters.

MMORPG.com reports the Templar recruitment process begins with the player being approached by an agent, shortly there after finding themselves in a mysterious area of London inaccessible to residents. During the mission which follows, players will travel in time, meet key Templar character Richard Sonnac, and visite global HQ Temple Hall.

In the canon of The Secret World, the Templars have existed well outside the period of history we associate them with - the Crusades and their aftermath - including back to the earliest cites of Mesopotomia, Babylon, and the Roman Empire.

Nearly taken out by the combined forces of other secret societies in the 1300's and still locked in warfare with the Illuminati, the Templars remain true to their goal of ending evil, and remain the dominant force in Europe.

In an example of a ranking mission, a Templar player will track down a Korean hacker leaking Templar secrets to the Internet. Discovered to be a turncoat Templar, the agent flees into a hellish dimension called Agartha and must be pursued.

Also, as mentioned yesterday, it's our faction of choice. Check out the new artworks below.
