The Secret War updated to be less spammy

Less click baiting, more fancy faction gear as Funcom tweaks The Secret War.

Funcom has updated its Facebook-powered social game, The Secret War, to make it easier for more casual players to progress through the ranks.

This is good news for those hoping to unlock the in-game items, weapons and clothing offered as rewards for participation, but don't want to cover their social network profile with click begging.

The update has also added some anti-cheat measures and made it easier for players to earn points through recruiting and sharing exclusive assets.

The Secret War offers beta access to MMORPG The Secret World and pits the game's three factions against each other. The Dragon are dominating right now so come join the Templars and help Pat and I conquer the world. Red is the best colour.

The Secret World launches in June.
