The Mighty Quest for Epic Loot: Ubisoft unveils first free-to-play RPG game

The Mighty Quest for Epic Loot has been revealed by Ubisoft. It's the publisher first free-to-play title, and comes after the company fought tooth and nail to combat a wave of DRM and piracy issues. This could be the solution it's looking for.

The game is being developed by Ubisoft Montreal and it's an asynchronous - there's that term again - dungeon crawler that sees players making their own castles complete with quests, loot and end bosses.

You can test your Facebook friends by inviting them over to your castle, then laugh as your hordes of beast slaughter them. You can also venture into castles made by your mates, earn gear, collect loot and level up as you progress.

As you level up, you will unlock tougher enemies and building tiles for your own castle, which is actually a neat idea. So essentially your castle levels up as you do.
