The Legend of Zelda and Animal Crossing make for much better Mario Kart 8 DLC than Mercedes, wouldn't you say?
Nintendo has announced two new pieces of DLC coming to Mario Kart 8.
The Legend of Zelda X Mario Kart 8 will set you back £7.00 and is coming in November.
It adds Tanooki Mario, Cat Peach and Link as playable racers.
Animal Crossing X Mario Kart 8 also costs £7.00 and is due in May 2015 - quite a long lead time on the announce there.
Animal Crossing Villager, Isabelle and Dry Bowser will join the roster.
Nintendo said each pack contains two new cups of four tracks, meaning you get eight tracks in each new pack, for a total of 16 new tracks once you pick up both packs.
We don't know precisely what these tracks are, but Nintendo said they include "classics like Wario's Gold Mine from Mario Kart Wii, as well as new courses, some taking place in the worlds of The Legend of Zelda and Animal Crossing".
Each pack also adds four new vehicles, "including the Blue Falcon kart representing the F-Zero franchise in the first AOC pack".
You can pre-order both packs using the links above. If you pick up both, you'll score eight different-coloured Yoshis and Shy Guys.
Mario Kart 8 has sold over 1 million copies in the US and passed 2 million global sales in June. It's one of a number of great Wii U titles helping inspire a resurgence of interest in the console, making us feel more optimistic about its future.
