Zelda: A Link to the Past 2 to have a Dark World

A couple more details have surfaced regarding The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past 2, the first all-new Zelda title to grace 3DS.

Speaking with CNET, series producer Eiji Aonuma confirmed players will be able to visit both the Light and Dark Worlds in the upcoming 3DS exclusive.

As Gematsu notes, the Dark World has only appeared in the original A Link to the Past and Four Swords Adventures to date.

Aonuma also talked a little about how the game will differ from other entries in the series; as well as returning to a top-down perspective, ala the earliest Zelda games, it "certainly feels different". Playing without 3D enabled will not give you the full experience, he said.

As previously reported, one mechanic allows Link to become a drawing on a wall, with Aonuma explaining that this as inspired by Phantom Ganon in Ocarina of Time.

As ever, it's worth noting that Nintendo hasn't formally titled the sequel in English, and although we're pretty sure it's going to be called The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past 2, this can't be confirmed as yet. You can look at some gameplay footage, though.
