The Last Story's online mode gets a preview with new screens

thelaststory

Last week, we told you how Mistwalker has included six-player online with co-op and competitive modes in The Last Story.

This week, the online component has been previewed by Andriasang.

The preview chats a bit about the story's beginning, the real-time battle, how Elza uses Gathering to pull enemy attention towards him, how to use a cast magic circle to your advantage in battle, and all other sorts of neat goodies.

However, the online bit is what we're most interested in.

According to the preview, the game has two types of online play: co-op boss fights and versus combat with both playable with two to six players.

Text will appear on-screen letting you know when a companion has bested and enemy, and user comments will be presented as well.

It's not much information, but it's a start.

The Last Story is out January 27 in Japan on Wii, with a US and European date to be announced. Hopefully, we'll have the option of obtaining the cool Wii Bundle and Special Edition as well.
