The Last Story will have six-player online play

thelaststory

Mistwalker has included six-player online with co-op and competitive modes in The Last Story, according to the latest issue of Shonen Jump.

To access the online component of the game, players will go to the Raid Lobby, and choose a character for some competitive battle or team up with others to take down an enemy.

Jump also touched upon the clothing changes you can put your character through, and how you can change your equipment and weapon, and also "paint" an item to a color of your choosing.

The magazine also chatted a bit about the character of General Trista, who is a knight and once the highest ranking officer in the imperial army. He is now a world traveler in search of a connection between "war and the devastation of the imperial main land", and he will play a "major role in the story"

Other details from Jump were scarce, but according to Andriasang, its likely Famitsu and the official site will post more information on this in the coming weeks.

The Last Story is out January 27 in Japan on Wii, with a US and European date to be announced.
