The Last of Us given a May release date during VGAs

A new video for The Last of Us was shown during the 2012 VGAs this evening, and what pleased folks most - other than the really nice trailer - was the announcement that the game would release in May. Speculation of a spring 2013 date appeared earlier this week, when Walmart listed the period when opening up pre-orders for the Naughty Dog title. At the end of the trailer, a May 7 date was shown. The crowd, literally roared in excitement. Sony has said more The Last of Us news will be posted on the PS Blog Sunday evening. Watch the trailer below.
