Watch The Game Awards 2014 right here! Let's do this thing.

The revamped video game awards take place this evening in Las Vegas and there are various ways in which to watch the show. One way, is to head below and gaze upon its splendor alongside the VG247 staff.

The Game Awards 2014 starts at 6pm PST/9pm EST/2am UK, and can be watched through Steam, PSN, Wii U, Xbox Live, YouTube and Twitch.

We've embedded the Twitch stream below.

According to previous reports, there are 12 world premieres on slate for the evening, four of which are fresh looks at The Order: 1886 and Bloodborne, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and Adr1ft.

Metal Gear Online will debut as will the new King's Quest title.

While EA is set to make a "special announcement", neither Microsoft nor Bethesda will be announcing anything at the show.

Awards will also be handed out, and you can view the full list of nominees through here. Contenders for Game of the Year are: Bayonetta 2, Dark Souls 2, Dragon Age: Inquisition, Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft and Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor.

As with every year since VG247's inception, we will be covering all interesting news and posting it to the site as it hits. I will also be tweeting anything interesting, so be sure to keep an eye on our Twitter feed. Since it is no longer dubbed the VGAs, you will no longer have to see my dyslexia on full display with VAG hashtags instead of VGA. Although, that may be missed by some of you. Thankfully, it was renamed VGX last year. Maybe that's why. Too many "vag" jokes.

Considering the fact Spike TV is no longer involved, at least this year, the event will be focused more on the developers and fans. Hopefully it means zero to few cringe-worthy celebrity appearances.

Here is one of the worst and most memorable I can recall over the last five years I have been covering the show for VG47. Now you know why I was always filled to the brim with cider. I had to be in order to get through it.

All joking aside, the show this year has many heavy hitters supporting Geoff Keighley in his new endeavor. Since he was beholden to Spike TV's parent company Viacom, he didn't really have much of a choice when it came to the show's format.

Thankfully, Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot, Metal Gear Solid creator Hideo Kojima, SCE America CEO Shawn Layden, EA COO Peter Moore, Xbox’s Phil Spencer, Warner Bros. president Martin Tremblay, Valve and Rockstar are all backing the show.

Imagine Dragons will be the musical guest for the evening, following in the footsteps of 50 Cent, Weezer, Tenacious D, The Black Keys, and Deadmau5 among others who preformed in the years prior.

TL;DR right? I'll bow out now, but just be sure to come back later and join me for all the news out of The Game Awards 2014.
