The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim to use Steamworks

Bethesda has elected to use the increasingly ubiquitous Steamworks system as its DRM solution.

Bethesda made the announcement via Twitter, but gave no further information.

Steamworks is popular among PC fans for its low system resource use and integrated support with Steam. It boasts several community-friendly features including built-in voice chat and cloud saves backups.

Skyrim is due on November 11 on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
