In the video above, Arekkz provides a new side-by-side look at The Division running on both PS4 and PS4 Pro. He chose various areas of Brooklyn with different lighting conditions to provide a better look at the changes.

In update 1.6, Ubisoft Massive updated the PS4 Pro patch which was released in December 2016. Arekkz noted at the time that despite The Division upscaling from 1080p to 4K with a 4k UI, there wasn't much difference in fps or visuals than what was available via the standard PS4 game in 1080p.

With this week's update, however, the visuals are actually in 4k. Not natively of course, but more along the lines of Horizon: Zero Dawn which is checkerboard 4K. Either way, he said, The Division looks much better on PS4 Pro than it did before. Plus, it uses 4K at all times now for improved quality.

The Pro update also improved performance and upscaling, while also improving the quality of temporal anti-aliasing supersampling, and temporal anti-aliasing in motion.

To see the changes best, you might want to watch the video in 4K. That said, it still looks lovely watching it 720p.
