[UPDATE] Good news: although there's still been no word from Ubisoft, the issues seem to have been resolved. Certainly the complaints have ceased, and we were able to connect without trouble. Phew!

Xbox One players began reporting problems connecting to The Division about an hour ago.

Ubisoft Support and The Division's social media channels are silent on the matter, but judging by user reports the problem seems to be restricted to Xbox One, and affects players differently. It's not clear whether the problem is specific to The Division, Uplay or perhaps Xbox Live; at time of writing, Microsoft's service status page warned of some problems with matchmaking.

Whatever it is, it comes at an unfortunate time. The Division went down for scheduled maintenance today, which is fine, but then Uplay crapped itself for a few hours, leaving many players unable to access a range of Ubisoft games and services.
