The Division digital revenues overtake Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 - Superdata

The Division pulled in digital sales revenue of $109 million in March, according to analyst firm Superdata.

This was enough to knock Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 from its perch at the top of the digital revenue charts, by a margin of $48 million. The Division was also the top earner on PC.

These two new digital achievements join a slew of sales milestones, which must be making Ubisoft very happy indeed. The Division topped the NPD's US retail charts in March, broke an 11 year UK charts record, and even made a huge splash in Japan. It generated $330 million during its first week to become the biggest new IP launch ever, selling more copies in 24 hours than any other Ubisoft title.

Whether The Division sucked all the air out of the room or interests is merely waning, Black Ops 3 saw a 17% month-on-month revenue decrease. The Madden series took a huge dip, losing 31% month-on-month to fall five places on the charts.
