The Division: Massive promises "fair experience" after PC beta cheating

Can fixes be put in place in time for open beta?

Massive has noted the amount of cheating that went on in the PC beta for The Division and fully intends to tackle it in time for launch.

Players of the PC beta over the weekend faced a barrage of cheaters using infinite ammo and medkits, invisibility, aimbots and more. It was a bit of a shitshow, to say the least.

"We are aware of the cheating issues in the Closed Beta on PC," Ubisoft/Massive said on the official forums.

"The team is fully committed to providing solutions against this and a system will be in place to ensure a fair experience for players when the game is released on March 8."

The Division is getting an open beta February 16-21, so we'll see if there are better safeguards in place then.
