The Division: cosmetic appearance items and where to find them
With the console beta for The Division kicking off next week, here's some more information on character customization focusing on appearance-based gear.
According to Arekkz, appearance-based gear acts as a top layer for the player's stat-based gear.
This allows the player to change the way they look without changing stats, similar to how cosmetics work in MMOs and other games.

The Division is slated for release on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on March 8.
The beta will kick off for Xbox One users on January 28 and on January 29 for PlayStation 4 and PC users. It runs through January 31.
