The Division does indeed include Brooklyn, but only one part of it

The opening moments of The Division do indeed feature Brooklyn.

If you've been following the discussions around The Division's map size, you'll most definitely remember talk and speculation about whether or not Brooklyn will be in the game, seeing as the Brooklyn Bridge was featured in various trailers.

Ubisoft even outright confirmed the borough won't be here on launch. Now that the game is out in the wild, Brooklyn is indeed in the game, but just a small part of it.

Eurogamer reports that The Division's opening and tutorial area is set in a small section of Brooklyn, and you can even see the Bridge.
