The Division 2 is coming to Stadia with PC cross-play and cross-progression

The Division 2, which was announced for Google Stadia back in June, is finally coming to the platform.

The Division 2 is coming to Google Stadia on March 17, ending a drought of blockbuster game releases on the streaming service. The game will be available alongside the Warlords of New York expansion.

The even better news is that the Stadia version will support cross-play with the PC version at launch. This announcement was sort of spoiled ahead of time when players discovered a toggle for Stadia cross-play in the game's options menu on PC.

Regardless, cross-play should help servers on Stadia stay populated, as the platform's player base is smaller compared to PC. The Division 2 will also support cross-progression between PC and Stadia, so long as you're willing to link your Stadia and Uplay accounts.

It's not clear whether Stadia Pro members will be able to get the game at a discount, as seen at the launch of Ghost Recon Breakpoint in December.

Warlords of New York, available now on PC and consoles, overhauled the game's gear system and introduced a bunch of new content. If you're revisiting New York yourself, be sure to hit up our guide for the new Skill Tier system.
