At its E3 2014 press conference today, UUbisoft gave a November 11 release date for The Crew on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.

The beta will open on July 23, and you can register now on the game's website.

Creative director Julian Gerighty came on stage to reveal Ubisoft has been running a secret testing operation called Route 99 gathering feedback on the racer. The test took the form of a tournament and you’ll be able to watch the finals live on Twitch soon. We'll have links and dates for that once the presser rolls in after the show, I hope.

The Crew’s E3 2014 trailer is below, and features cars. Driving. Does this surprise you at all?

Ubisoft is emphasising the fact that The Crew is an MMO with the entire United States available to play in, and the trailer takes in various landmarks and cities to demonstrate this. If you’re an American and/or ever watch English language media you’ll no doubt feel the stirrings of emplacement.
