The Beatles: Rock Band hits 1.7 million worldwide


The LA Times is reporting that global sales of The Beatles: Rock Band have now exceeded 1.7 million.

Some 1.18 million of those units have been sold in the US - that's over 69 percent.

Over 357,000 units were sold in America in December.

The game release in September, in which is cleared 595,000 units in the US.

For clarity, Activision's Guitar Hero 5 sold only 996,000 units last year, compared to 3.4 million from 2008's Guitar Hero: World Tour.
